Has any of iOS 5 iPad users experienced slow safari browser, frequent crashes and slow keyboard response when posting something online?

This is happening to my iPad after I upgraded to iOS 5

We're experiencing the same problem on every one of our corporate iPad 2's. Safari crashes and falls back to home screen every time we attempt to accesss our internal corporate web sites.

Our IT folks have determined that there is a nasty bug in the JavaScript engine that blows Safari up. This appears to be the same JavaScript engine bug that plagued Safari from version 5.0 up to 5.1.1, where it was finally fixed. You would think that Apple would learn from their mistakes (and fixes) but I'm guessing that the develpment group for iOS and OS X don't communicate with each other.

Anyway, Safari under iOS 5 is awful to Biblical proportions and completely unusable for my company. Apple, are you listening?

Safari crashes on a regular basis. Sometimes it crashes the first time I open it. The sweet irony here is that Safari runs at its worst on Apple's site. The keyboard is almost unusable. I even have a hard time putting my pin into the log on screen. Most apps crash the first time I launch them. And over all performance is sluggish at best. Come on Apple. Fix it.

I have the original iPad and my husband has the iPad 2, and safari starts loading then hangs up fairly frequently, something it didn't do before IOS 5. If I stop and reload, sometimes it loads all the way. I tried to turn off icloud, but that didn't work. I'm hoping theres an update that fixes it. What a pain. I have the 4S and it's just fine so Im not sure what it is (especially on the iPad 2.)

This is extremely annoying. Everything used to be perfect before the iOS 5 update.

But everything is so so slow now!

Keyboard delays. I type and my letters appear a second or two later on screen. Safari crashes 3 times out of 5 everytime it loads something larger -youtube, google search, going back and foreward on previously visited pages online...

Not only Safari!

Some apps even crash. Tried starting a game and my iPad rebooted! After the reboot it ran perfectly but this can't be right.

At first i was a bit scared because i thought it's an issue that requires technical service but it turns out that it happens to other iPad users and also iPad2 users that updated to iOS 5.

What can be done?? My productivity with my iPad drastically decreased since upgrading to the new iOS.

Please Apple... We really need a fix or something to put our devices back on track.

Your not alone... See my previous post below:

Having very similar problems with iPad One... Many of my apps now close automatically after only being open for a minute ortwo.. Extremely frustrating... Yesterday it took over 2 minutes formy calendar to open, always has been near instant on...

Web has turn into an snail paced experience... Wifiis not the issue... Speednet test show ping 21 ms, upload 3.92 Mbps anddownload at 18.77 Mbps..

Biggest technical issue I have found is RAM useage... Openup a few apps, mail, calendar, USA Today and my free RAM drops below 5 mb,which clearly makes the whole IPAD system unstable...

I use to be able have 20+ apps and NEVER have RAMissues... Something in IOS 5 is driving this issue...

I did have iCloud on the iPad, but that completely destroyed mycalendar and address apps, plus brought total chaos to my other Apple hardware(iMac, Mac Air, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS)... Took many hours to deleteit... There could be some lingering issues on the iPad with its tiein to IOS 5...

Clearly the release of iCloud & IOS 5 were premature &we have turned into beta testers..

After installing ios 5 my ipad 1 transformed into a huawei or something even worse, e.g. Touchpad;)

It is impossible to use safari so i switched to opera mini, but it is very limited.

The keyboard is very slow and unresposive, i woudn't spend any word about splitted keyboard cause it f... Horrible.

I turned of iCloud, turned of all syncing, rebooted, restored, cleared cash and history - nothing helped.

The worst part is that there is no error log in Settings/About I could send Apple so I think they don't even have a clue what is happening.

It seems that this is their plan, so we all switch to ipad 2.

Sorry for bad english (i'm not a native spaker)

I am having the same issues and it's so disappointing because I stayed up all night to do the update and made all of my friends update their products. The keyboard is so slow now and all of the browsers are slow. The worst thing though is my battery no longer lasts the entire day. I use the kindle app mostly and have to keep my device charged now. Please fix these issues on iPad 1! Also why was the multi tasking feature not added for the iPad 1? It was one of the most anticipated features for me. Thanks!
