Since the latest update 5.1.1 i experience the following issue:

Airplay drops out just after let's say 3 seconds or so.

My configuration is:

-iPhone 4S latest Software

-Apple TV 2

-Sony stereo system (connected through toslink optical cable to apple tv)

-LG TV (connected through hdmi cable)

-cisco e1000 router as accesspoint. (apple tv and LG TV connected through ethernet)

The problem is: before the update i was able to stream music to the stereo without having the tv turned on via optical cable. Now the streaming cuts after a few seconds when the tv is not turned on. When the tv is turned on it still works but the playing screen on the tv looks different (black only). My friend has an iphone 4 running the latest os an he was able to stream to my stereo when the tv was off. Streaming from itunes works too. I truly hopes this is a software issue and not a "feature" because when i star streaming to the apple tv and turn on the tv after that i have a message displayed saying i should check connections on hdmi because of protected hdmi content. This happens with both purchased music and things i ripped from my cd's. Please help me/fix that issue because i bought apple tv with the main intention of streaming music and don't want to turn on the tv all the time when only a black screen is displayed. Best regards and thanks in advance,

Steve

I have B&O Beoplay A8. My iphone 3Gs, 4G, ipad, Mac all work well. Just IP4S doesn't work and lose signal after 30 seconds. First I think it is because signal but now I realize IP4S is the probelm.

I use a belkin wifi modem. But when I search I see someone said that with cisco modem, we can:

. Login to router

. Click on application and gaming

. Click on QOS

. Disable WMM Support

Hope this will work.

Hello,

I updated zeppelin air to the new firmware . One of the differences to old firmware is that it shuts down after some time not being used.turning it on , neither iPhone 4S or iPad new, recognise it. And I had to shut both iPad & iPhone off and restart them. After that they both recognise Zeppelin!Of course when the zeppelin was off again and restarted it next time .. the same happened!!It's so irritating!!! Does anybody know something about it???

We just had the same problem with our 4s using AirPlay. It kept dropping every few seconds. My iPhone 5 did not have this issue. The fix was turning off the baby monitor! It is on a 2.8 GHz signal. That signal seems to affect the 4S on AirPlay but not the iPhone 5. Turned off the monitor and it works perfectly now. Just does to show that it might not be the actual equipment but a different interference in the house.
