I called ATT today and they agreed to give me a $50 credit on my bill for all the dropped calls since 10/14.

I've lost more in revenue thank $50, my time certainly is worth more than $50 and the frustration I've caused my clients is beyond a $50 pittance.

I also went to the Apple store where I purchased my 4s and due to the 30 day buyer's remorse clause, they happily (and kindly) brought out a new iphone 4s to swap mine out for.

The feedback i received from the Apple Store manager is this:

1. we should be getting updates soon to fix any issues they have learned about--so keep an eye out for those.

2. out of 5million phones sent out in 2 weeks, there are going to be some lemons--he hopes that the new phone i got today won't have the issues--we will see.

The only good news I can report after getting the replacement phone today is that i have 2-3 signal bars versus 1-2 most of the time. I've only made a handful of calls on new phone---1 connection was bad (same issue as before), the other few were fine.

I will be taking my family member's iphone 4s back to the ATT Store where i purchased it the day after i purchased mine. We will see what ATT says in person. So...basically 2 iphone 4s purchased on different days, different locations (apple store & att store), and in different cities (adjacent nonetheless)---have the SAME EXACT PROBLEMS.

We will see and update soon.

PS i tried to see if disabling the location services helped...nope.

Hi to everybody!! From Spain, please sorry for my English, i will try to explain my experience.

Of course i have battery problems, i'm waiting for the ios 5.0.1 to fix them..

The most important it's the dropped calls, my carrier is Orange Spain.

Localization option it's always disable.. one day i enter in the system option, i put all of them of, and then i repeat to put localization in off, mi 4s was crazy... every five minutes more or less, don't have 3g and always appears the message searching... battery life will decrease very fast with this options deact...

Next day i put localization in on, enter in the system services, and only put off Diagnostics , and IADs, and Time Zone.. then put off localization and my iphone works better.. i don´t understand, but this is mi experience..

Still have problems, but it's not serius...

Here in Spain, i can return the phone to the app store only in 14 days, my finish day it's the next 11...

What can i do? Do you believe that i must return the phone, or waiting for the new IOS...

I think that all its a soft. problem...

When i bought the Iphone 4 in 2010, i had a lot off problems with my carrier Vodafone, dropped calls, people can¡t listeninng to me etc.. all was fix it with a ios update...

Please, so sorry for my English.... And hello to everybdy from Spain :-)

Hello Spain!

I took my phone in and exchanged it for another 4s to see if the problem was with the phone versus the carrier (ATT).

Funny, the new phone seems to work a little better--

1. not AS MANY dropped calls (still some)

and

2. the reception is a TINY bit better (the equivalent of one extra signal bar which means i have 3 bars out of 5)

I hope that any updates will improve the conditions.

Adios from Texas!
