download xcode 4.0.2 for mac os 10.6.8

hi everyone ... i am using mac mini with mac os x 10.6.8 and would like to install xocde 4 but i am not be able to use the latest version of xcode 4 which is xcode 4.2 because it only compatible for mac os x 10.7 and above.. but i would like to use the xcode 4.0.2 but i dont see there is a link for me to download throught apple website or maybe there is somewhere else in the website for me to download .. do anyone know about it or the link? on the other hand, my stingy boss is not wiling to upgrade the mac os to lion and would like to use xcode version 4... but i just found xcode 3.2.6 thru teh website ...

It took me two minutes to create a developer account and begin downloading xCode version 3.8 or whatever it is to use on snow leopard. I registered as a hobbyist, and apple was cool with that.

There was a final Xcode 4.2 build for Snow Leopard that is/was available from developer.apple.com. The catch is that you must have a paid ($99 USD) developer membership in order to access it.

If you just want the command-line developer tools for Snow Leopard, and don't care about the Xcode IDE or Cocoa support frameworks, then you can download a pre-compiled build for snow leopard or Lion here. Contains gcc, g++, Clang, and LLVM and relevant libraries. It was this gentleman that inspired Apple to create optional, command-line tool add-ons for subsequent Xcode releases.

Thank you Laomusic Arts. I bet that link worked in the past, but now, with a full developers account, this link no longer works. "The requested application was not found on this server." It apparently has been removed and a lengthy discussion with Apple came up dry. It appears as though Apple does not want to make Xcode available for 10.6.8. ~still hunting.

XCode 4.2 for Snow Leopard is still available at the developer download page, but only if you have the paid account.

You may think it's gone because if you login with another account it just doesn't show it as an option at all.

Apparently apple also restricts some software by country, so that could be another issue.

It seems Mavericks is a free upgrade in the AppStore. If you're brave enough and absolutely need the latest; You could always upgrade to it and then upgrade to the newest XCode.
