iCloud Mail - will not send in Outlook 2010

Thanks...this worked for me on my windows 7 system as well as on my android phone.

Go to iCloud in your control panel> Unselect mail> Close iCloud> Reopen iCloud> Select mail.

They do, you need to look, but here they are.

As of last week sometime, the p06-smtp.mail.me.com trick no longer works. It kept giving me an authorization error. I finally went back to the normal smtp.mail.me.com in Outlook 2016 (and I tested it with Outlook 2011 as well) and it works like a charm.

I hope this helps someone as it was driving me crazy.

I started having an issue about 2-weeks ago and I cannot send emails from Outlook 2010 from my me.com account. I receive fine. I am using p08-stmp

Is there a setting that works? I have been using this for a long time.

As my post says. I went back to using just "smtp.mail.me.com" nothing else, no p0- anything and mail is working perfectly now.

I just changed the outgoing server to smtp.mail.me.com and it still sticks. Do I also need to change the incoming? It is a p08. Do I need to restart. When it sends test message it works, but a real one does not.

I have no idea of what you mean by, "it sends test message it works, but a real one does not." It either sends mail or it does not.

Be sure your port information is set properly. This is exactly how I have mine set (I did use the full username@icloud.com for IMAP settings) and it works.

I am pretty sure something Apple did with their mail servers recently which is why I needed to make the change. But it is now a standard mail setting.

When you set up or change an email account it sends a test message. My test message in my me.com account works, the test message is sent.

However, when I go to my me.com account and try to send and email not a test message it sticks in the outbox. If I send it through one of my other accounts it works.

I will look at you link to apple support. Sorry to be so confusing. Thank you for your help.

Going back to just smtp.mail.me.com worked for me as well.

I have tried all the changes everyone has suggested. My emails still hang up in the Outbox when I sent through my me.com account. What I do not understand is that during setup, when it runs a test message everything works fine. However, when I go to the folder and try to forward a message it sticks in the outbox.
