Siri's voice got more robotic?

So I was asking her questions and all of sudden, her voice really changed. It sounds much more robotic now and kind of depressed and has very few voice fluctuations like it did before it changed. I didn't change anything under settings. Anyone else have this problem? It's very annoying!

That has nothing to do with it.

I still have 9A405 and i got the robot voice.

Same with Itunes, both my wife's and my iphones got synced to itunes whortly before the robot appearerd, but mine was instant, and it took about 3 weeks for my wife's Siri to change. (we only synced to get the music off itunes, we DID NOT get an update for the SW, and we both still have 9A405)

So I don't think it has to do anything with Ituens or the software version.

My friend just got a 4s, and her Siri was robotic right out of the box. (she also has 9A405)

I'm another 4s user that's been caught out by the downgrading of Siri's voice and functionality. I shipped my original 4s off to New York with my son for business- Siri worked just fine, a proper voice and reasonable responses. The replacement phone arrived and the problem was there from the first time I used it. I doubt it makes a difference but the new phone arrived with 9A406.

So far I've not seen any convincing explanation for what is causing the problem. It seems most likely to be software based as it's affects previously properly working phones. Has anyone been able to restore functionality? If not there must a workaround available as the Siri system can work well.

I can sympathise with the frustration on this matter, but you can bet the best way to deal with it is wait and leave your OS for the next update. If the 4s could ship with a battery software bug, it surely can have issues with an ambitious system like Siri.

Don't forget Siri requires internet to work so its probablt receiving updates from the server that changes its voice. Also probably part of Siri's functionality is having its own cache and in the cache which could be why it sounded alright at the beginning of the restore. Apple probably "patched" something with it. It's an AI, not a human and probably Apple software developers are tweaking its functionally.

Meh, sounds like a bummer to me. After all, though its "officially" a beta, its one of the most unique unique selling point of the iPhone and seemed like Siri's getting a downgrade.
