How do I watch video in my iPad 2 without turning on my iMac?

Hi,

Is there a chance Apple is giving this back? This was something I was able to do before upgrading to iOS5. It was actually the main reason I bought an iPad2. After the upgrade what happens was when I click to open a video file, it opens and closes back. It was like those dissolve effect used in photos.

Thanks,

This is how it used to be for me before the iOS5 upgrade and then gone after that. I made the videos with a Canon HD camcorder - imported to iMovie - shared to Media Browser - to iTunes - sync to the iPad 2 and started watching it. No problem! Oh maybe I should add to this that I did this same procedure to sync some of these videos to my iTouch 2nd Gen. Now I can still watch these videos. Could it be because iOS5 is not supported by my iTouch?

I'll consider doing this appointment you're suggesting with the Genius Bar but I don't think I need anybody to show me how to watch the video on the iPad since I've already done this, before upgrading to iOS5.

Please do not think that I am trying to talk down to you or suggest that you do not know what you are doing or that you do not know what you are talking about. That is not the case. I was merely suggesting that we were not understanding what you were trying to convey.

I know nothing about iMovie, shooting or importing video so I will now bow out of the discussion.

Maybe I should have used the word "again" in my question. Cause this (watching video on the iPad) was something I enjoyed doing before upgrading to iOS5. And I can't blame anything else but iOS5 cause everything was working for me before the upgrade to iOS5! I wasn't looking at your response in a way that you were talking down to me. You're trying to be helpful is how I look at your response and nothing else and I thank you for that. And again, I'm considering making an appointment with the Genius Bar as you suggested and I'll do an update here afterwards. 🙂

You know what, I'm gonna cancel my appointment with the Apple Store tomorrow. I decided to play with the videos one more time while charging my iPad2. Change the media kind from music to movies and da-rah I'm now able to watch my videos again like before the iOS5 upgrade. Yes! To be honest, I must have really gotten confused and mad at the same time that I probably changed the media kind from TV shows to Movies and to Music. Anyway, thanks to all of you guys who tried to help me.

Cheers! 🙂
