ICloud Web Version of Mail Very Slow

I have successfully installed ICloud on my PC and IPhone and have no trouble getting mail through these devices. However, if I am at another location and use a computer to log onto ICloud via the web it is very very slow in loading messages and performing any function such as deleting or moving a file. This was true for MobileMe as well. Anyone else having issues with this? Apple, any plans for upgrading the web version of ICloud Mail?

Thanks.

Hi Kintheclouds,

I have recently learned that Apple does not review these discussion threads. It seems the discussion area is for users to share information and to try to help one another. However, there are some issues which only Apple can address. A Mac Genius suggested that I provide feedback directly to Apple by going to apple.com/contact/feedback. I have already done this but will try again. I have however noticed some improvement in the performance of ICLOUD. Good luck!

I originally posted a reply in November. Since then, Apple has done absolutely nothing to fix this issue. Apparently, this is the new face of Apple, sell as much as possible and forget about the customers. Well, as of today, I no longer care; I switched over to Gmail and Google calendar. It has been a very simple transition and everything is working very effectively and rapidly. Thanks Google!

I wish I had a solution but I don't. I'm having the same issue as you. I too was a Mobile Me subscriber for years and the performance miserable. I kept the service year after year because I didn't want to lose my email address. I feel like a fool. Apple's web based apps (Mail, iCal, etc.) have never worked. Even Steve Jobs blew up with his staff because the services simply did not work. It's just unbelievable that with this new iCloud service I can't even open an email after 10 minutes plus of loading. And don't even try to search for an email if you don't have a few hours to sit waiting. Just unbelievable. What a rip off. I'd say I'm throught with Apple forever, but what's the atlernative? We're still in the dark ages of computing I suppose.

Yes, it is very much a slow app if you can even get it to load. I have times where it has issues loading or signing in with any browser. On a Mac or a PC. I have stopped blaming my hardware because I have experienced no issues on any other site. Sad part is Apple rarely does a good job updating problems unless they are widespread with iCloud. I have pretty much written off iCloud as not reliable enough to be anything but a free alternative service for iTunes and other Apple transactions. My first turnoff of iCloud was its inability to support anything but Lion OS on a Mac.
