Airprint on Windows Network

We had airprint working fine on a windows network, but this is broken in iOS 5 and iTunes 10.5.

I need a solution that will allow sharing across the windows network - so that iPad users can print to existing network printers, not just printers that are supported by Airprint.

Preferably there's a windows-based solution that I can install on a server, not an application that's needed on every iPad.

I have not noticed any issues with AirPrint as we transition from IOS 4x to IOS 5. Apps that were printer friendly before still work well with our HP 1525nw Airprint enabled printers under IOS 5.0. You will want to upgrade your apps too as you update the IOS. It is not a "window's network that you are using but a wireless network when IPads and Airprint is involved. I am not sure what iTunes 10.5 has to do with it as Airprint does not use iTunes for anything. I am not aware of any server based applications that will allow for printing to shared network printers on any kind of network.

Yes, I have also been using the same method to use our epson printers.

We installed Bounjor Print services for windows, and were able to configure our Ethernet connected Epson Printers and use them via windows as print server for our iPAD.

This stopped working from the ipad when version IOS 5.0 was installed.

You can find the procedure that used to work at this link

http://ipadhelp.com/ipad-help/how-to-enable-airprint-for-windows-and-use-any-pri nter/

They have also updated the file and have also identified the problem, but now the only option being made available to work is Collobos Software at an additional purchase fee....Versus free previously.

It should be noted that the Windows Bounjour software still identifies the epson printers, and they can be printedto via the spooler on a windows machine from a windows machine. I assume, that there is something in the Apple IOS 5 software that is not allowing for the use of the windows based services to NON HP printers...
