how do i get my facebook like button on my website?

Lordy I can't imagine how you can work all that out!

When I go to the opening page on iweb the html box is there with the code as earlier in the black box above! But your right there is no sign of it at all on the published site. Is it maybe a problem with my website hosting company?

You can look at iWeb as long as you want, but to make your creation appear on the internet you have to publish the page.

I all work it out on my iPad.

I clikc apply then publish. Wait for the notification that this has happened, look at the published website and nothing!

Find out where you publish.

If you updated/published your website since may, you must have noticed before that something went wrong.

Only you can tell.

What should I change on this code so that it can link it to my facebook page?

I tried doing it the Cyclosaurus way but it doesn't work, it just makes the box huge with nothing in it.

i am having the same problem. no matter what i do i end up with a huge box with nothing in it. i've followed all the suggestions made but nothing works. the like button displayed properly until a few months ago.

Do you get an empty box in iWeb or on the published page?

If in iWeb, you have to imagine that you see the like button.

Publish your page and have a look.

There was no sign of it on the published page not even an empty box but......

I FINALLY FOUND A WAY TO FIX IT!

This makes no sense but it works.... I decided to create a blank page & insert the FB like box. I published it & it displayed perfectly. Next I duplicated my home page naming it "home2" & added the FB Box, published it & again it was perfect. Now here's the crazy part... I then deleted my orgignal home page so the "home2" page renamed to "home". I published it & it was back to not showing the Like Box. Couldn't figure out why but after trial & error, I renamed my home page "home1" & it works. This makes no sense but maybe it's some kind of IWeb flaw. I also used the Like Box from this url http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/
