PrintFab *really* slow

I have a Canon i560 connected over IP (in order to leverage my wireless hub). I understand that the OS-X Canon drivers support only USB connected printers and the Gimp drivers are old (I tried a few of them and got either small or lightly shaded printing).

I downloaded the PrintFab package and it prints great, but it takes about 10 minutes per page. Has anyone experienced this / any suggestions would be appreciated? Thanks.
