Contact names did not transfer, only the phone numbers transferred.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

iPhone 4

Assuming you have Settings > iCloud set to sync contacts, it should transfer all of the information from Contacts. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and additional info such as birthdays if you have eneterd that.

Thank you for your reply. I switched contacts to "on" in settings but I think it's too late as the data was purged because I didn't have it on when I downloaded iCloud.
