Hi all,
My late 2011 MacBook Pro just arrived.
I'd like to upgrade its memory from 4 GB to 8 GB but not sure which 3rd party RAM would be compatible with this model.
Any thoughts?

Any 1333 MHz DDR3 notebook memory will work.
what is the max ram on mac book pro, i have the new 2.8 ghz and 13 inch.
Apple says 8gb, Actual is 16gb.
Your Mac contains two memory slots with a maximum of 8 GB per slot, giving you a total max of 16 GB.

I searched this thread. I have the same question except for the ECC part. OWC takes me to ECC RAM. When I look at my system info it says ECC is disabled. I looked ECC up and it seems to be a good thing, right?
I just want the maximum use and life out of my new mbp! Thank you!
ECC memory isn't something you would want to use in a consumer laptop. It's more expensive, unnecessary, and I don't even know if it will work in a MacBook Pro. http://macsales.com/ will help you select the correct memory, and has the best prices that I know of.

Edit: Just reread your post and realized that you're using this site, though it's not returning ECC memory for me. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_133 3MHz_SDRAM will provide you with the correct non-ECC memory.
