compatible ram macbook pro late 2011

Hi all,

My late 2011 MacBook Pro just arrived.

I'd like to upgrade its memory from 4 GB to 8 GB but not sure which 3rd party RAM would be compatible with this model.

Any thoughts?

Thanks very much for any help.

Mike

See Here:http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_133 3MHz_SDRAM. Very reasonably priced with a lifetime guarantee. Its what I have in my Early '11 MBP. However any 204-pin PC-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM (the type of ram your mac takes) will do.

ECC memory isn't something you would want to use in a consumer laptop. It's more expensive, unnecessary, and I don't even know if it will work in a MacBook Pro. http://macsales.com/ will help you select the correct memory, and has the best prices that I know of.

More info on this subject can be found at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1270897?start=0&tstart=0.

Edit: Just reread your post and realized that you're using this site, though it's not returning ECC memory for me. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_133 3MHz_SDRAM will provide you with the correct non-ECC memory.
