A brand new iPhone 4s 2 days old. SYNC hangs on the last step of syncing and says "waiting for items to copy" and it looks like it is working but it does not respond. Tried Wired, Wireless, same thing...

Based on the ring tone problem described, I found some voive memos with a locked up (grayed out) sync icon next to them. Also it appeared that there were two voice memo play lists. When I went back to my library it also looked liked there were some dublicates. I deleted all voice memos moving them to a folder on my desk top for future review. I also deleted them off my iPhone. Now the phones syncs as expected.
Good grief, someone please remind me to never write a reply when i've got the flu.
I've had the same issues PLUS an annoying pop up: "SMS inbox full...can't receive text messages." I could only get new text messages by restarting my iphone. iMessage worked just fine during this time.
Just installed the latest software update (iOS 5.0.1) and that took care of the text message issue. However, syncing is still stuck on the last step. Even though I eject iPhone before the sync is officially complete, I don't see anything missing on my iphone or itunes. Weird.
All of my problems started after the iCloud/iMessages/air syncing functionality updates.
Finally!! I deleted the deadbeat ringtone and my iPhone 4S has finally completed a sync cycle. Thanks Julianry!
