How do I use Keynote with iCloud?

I just bought Keynote for iPad, in addition to Keynote 09 for OS X, which I bought a while ago. The OS X version is 5.1, which supposedly works with iCloud.

I had expected the presentation I started in the OS X version to magically show up in the iPad version. But no.

I enabled all the iCloud buttons and sliders and switches that I could find, both on OS X and the iPad.

I searched the Keynote online manual, but it does not even mention iCloud.

Does Keynote 09 even work with iCloud? How do I make this happen? Am I expecting too much?

Being a fairly new MAC user I read forums to find my way. This time I actually may have discovered a solution to the 'problem' of saving on the local machine and therefore losing the ability to save to the cloud. I duplicated my project and then saved that to iCloud. I realize this should not have to be this complicated, however, this solution was fast and easy. Hope this helps anyone trying to solve this dilema.

Not sure if you are still having trouble, but the answer is simple.

if you created you keynote presentation on your computer, then log into icloud.com from your computer(make sure you are synced up so that you computer and ipad are already all linked on icloud) . . . drag and drop your keynote presentation onto your page with keynote presentations . . . voila. Then check it out on your ipad (make sure you have keynote on your ipad) . . . it should load up there . . . .

I hope that helps.
