And thanks m4xwl for sharing what worked for you. I have an iPad 2 that I purchased in Australia that I want to take to the US with me. So I've been searching for info on whether my iPad actually could be locked.

At least now I know where to start! 🙂

Yes I have the same problem except mine is locked to Vodafone, when you put another sim into it, the iPad tells you no service and wrong sim inserted

i have same problem. i have an ipad air2 (wifi only). i did not remember i change the passcode. but when i tried the passcode it wont work.i haven't use the device almost 3 weeks then, i entered that passcode. please help
