url is correct but page won't update

i'm having an infrequently re-occuring problem where I get to a webpage and - at some point pulldown to a new bookmark or hit the back button or do something similar and the webpage that Safari is on stays static but the url obviously updates.

I can run a Reload page and I can keep pulling down to other bookmarks or continue clicking back or forward and it stays on the same page. I feel like I am usually around the Wordpress help website when this happens but that could be totally way off.

Is there something that I can delete to try and refresh Safari is someway? Is there some other isssue that may be involved here?

Thanks.

Have you tried deleting history (including Top Sites) and clearing cache? To perform the latter, use the key combo "Option-Command-E", and confirm you really want to clear Safari's cache. You could also clear the cookies by going to Safari preferences, under the Bookmarks tab, and click on Show cookies, then on Select all, then on Delete.

This should solve your problem.

Hi. Thank you.

Can I please just ask you how I do this in the Pulldowns? I have done this before for a different issue but I am never sure if this is two pulldowns or more. Deleting history is one operation I am pretty sure but deleting the cache always gets me confused as to what to keep checked and then I get confused if deleting the cookies is in the same checkbox as the delete cache operation...

Are there two pulldowns here? Three?

Thank you...

Hi. Thank you so much.

I will try it now.

Can I ask you two other questions in case you know? I am having an issue with Bookmark Sync (not sure if you do this) and with my opening page (it is a wordpress login page) "capturing" the cursor so that while I am in the middle of entering something into Google Bar it suddenly changes to be entering in the middle of a word into the Wordpress login dialog.

Does it make sense for me to describe these here? Start another thread?

Thank you!
