Why are none of my correct/helpful answers being added to my total today?

anyone else experincing this. Hours have passed and I have answered several questions as correct or helpful and they arent being added to my current ammount of points? TIA.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2), Early 2011,13", 120 GB SSD, 8GB RAM

Actually, I noticed the same thing a while ago, but thought I had to be wrong........

No. the main intention of points, at least in my view, is that someone with higher points is generally more knowledgeable since they have been in the forums longer, but this is not always true. You could have a computer scientist who just joined with 10 points who knows way more than someone with 20k points who has been in here 5 years.

I can only speak for me (and I am not patronizing!) - points feed the bottomless void that is my ego. Must have more points!
