anyone else experincing this. Hours have passed and I have answered several questions as correct or helpful and they arent being added to my current ammount of points? TIA.

I'm new here - The point thing is intriguing to me, especially after reading this thread. Do we get a snow cone or some other kind of treat if we accumulate points and levels?
I can see how very likely I will give up all other means of achieving validation in my life and focus solely on this point system we've got here.
I must accumulate points and levels! Eckhart Tolle's audio book may be able to save me, but I'm pretty sure it's too late for that.

you're mocking/making fun of my origional post is counterproductive and rude. It was a legit question. I get satisfaction out of helping people and was just wondering on that day if there was an issue with the forum. I don't care about the points system.

I surely was not meaning to make fun in a bad way, rather a way we could all laugh about. I think you may be taking things a bit too seriously. I can laugh at myself about ego stuff. I guess I assumed others could too. I apologize. I don't believe there is anything wrong with wanting to accumulate points.
As for being rude and counterproductive - I would say that in a previous thread, you hyperlinking my profile to your post pointing out I was wrong seemed a bit off to me. Point out the error, but no need for a hyperlink to my profile with all my personal info.
You are misunderstanding, it was meant to get your attention, not to drive people to look at your profile. If you do not want people to be able to see that personal info, edit it as such, because any time you post, somone can click on your icon and get that info.
Okay, then. I understand your thinking now. I understand how the profile thing works, and I don't mind people seeing mine.
