iTunes 10.5 AirPlay Issues: won't connect to speakers

Hey all!

I'm faceing some troubles with iTunes and AirPlay. iTunes just won't connect to my AirPort Express. Everytime I try choosing my speakers, the AirPlay Icon just doesn't get blue. Recently I had to restart the Computer. After that everything went fine. After a few days in the morning: same issue. Has someone the same problems I have?

Thanks in advance.

Yours Thomas.

PS: I'm using iTunes 10.5 on a MacBook Pro 13" 2.26 GHz with Mac OS 10.7.2

I have been here before on this issue and you I think are the first that has issues not fixed by turning off ipv6 same as me although my issue is different. My problem is the amp drops off randomly (icon vanishes) when connected to a windows PC. I see that we are both using the same amplifier. Everybody says it is not the amp but like you I have tried most of the things mentioned without fixing my issues. But I do notice that the Ipad more or less stays connected provided one does not let more than about 30 seconds elapse with no music playing else it drops off. My Icon has recently gone reddish too - seemed to mean nothing to the way things worked so I assumed it was the result of an upgrade to itunes of something. Anyway now I am thinking that your issue may be related to mine in that maybe some albums kick us off the connection. I will pay more attention to what was playing each time it fails from now on.
