ical crashes

ical crashes repeatedly. Each time a message flashes "restore windows." If I click on it fast enough, ical will stay open. Any fix for this. I recently added an ipad to my system. ical on my mac and on my ipad are synched to my Google calendar.

I have ICAL permanately open on my desk top without the ability to close, trash, quit or anything....this started with passcode being changed . Just rebooted and it is still there.
