The iOS 5.0.1 Update has been released!

All of the iPad 1 folks can now update and activate multitouch gestures. Everybody get it while its hot!

'09 Mac mini, '06 iMac, iPad 2-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.2), iOS (5) Mac fanboi since 1984!

The sequence of events went like this ... download, install, iPad restarted, saw the progress bar and the Apple logo, progress bar filled up with white, iPad appeared to restart again with Apple logo and progress bar - this stayed on the screen for a short period of time, iPad restarted and I was ready to go.


There was No indication that it was restoring anything that I could see when I updated but all data, documents, apps are in place as far as I can see. Everything maintained as it was!

Just did a multiple device update...MBP SMC firmware update, iPhone 4 5.0.1, iPad 1 5.0.1...the MBP on ethernet and the iDevices on WiFi...all going simultaneously...much fun looking back and forth between three devices updating at once. All successful and EXACTLY as Apple said. And big surprise, GoodReader had an update noted in the App Store for the iPad that was to take advantage of the 5.0.1 features...released this afternoon.


These updates went flawlessly...continue to be impressed by the quality of the systems and software.
