WiFi on iPhone 4S doesn't work after iOS 5.0.1 update!

WiFi on iPhone 4S doesn't work after iOS 5.0.1 update!

I resetted my setting twice, I restored it with iTunes, but WiFi doesn't work any more!

How can I get iOS 5.0.0 back?

I have solid fast wifi on my 4s for hours at a time. Then it's dropping and can't stay connected. I'm running the latest Gen 5 Airport Extreme with 7.6 update, iMac 27" i7 with Lion 10.7.2, two macbook pro's with 10.7.2, ipad 2 with ios 5.0.1. All the above devices are working great. Solid connection with the iMac being the only device connected with Ethernet. I have broadband 100 with shawcable and my download speeds for wifi and ethernet are basically the same throughout our home. Downloads at 96 mbps and uploads just under 5 megs. I think the wifi problem has to be iphone related as all others are working perfectly without a single problem. The iphone 4s can be perfect for hours at a time. Then wham just hours and hours of wth is going on with it not connecting. I installed the airport app and it shows internet light going from green to yellow often and the same with airport on the app. The Extreme base station always has a green light and would indicated that it's the only a iphone and ios 5 issue.

Sure hoping we get another update that fixes these problems soon.

DHCP, Static --> not working.

Restarts and resets on router(s) and iOS devices --> not working.

Time Capsule (4th gen) reports that iOS devices (iPhone 4S and iPad 2) have "excellent" signal strengths and have been assigned IP addresses. This is confirmed by the Airport Utility and the logs for the Time Capsule.

Despite this, both iOS devices claim they cannot lease IP addresses. No wifi reception showing on the iOS devices, and all the "not connected to the internet" errors one might expect.

Restart, "forget" networks, reset network settings, swap static / DHCP modes, restart time capsule, rinse, lather, repeat -- no connectivity on the iOS devices. Time Capsule logs continue to report that the iOS devices are connected with addresses leased successfully. They show the client IDs correctly and everything.

Been trying to troubleshoot for several days now. Crazy. This has likely cost me far much more time now than I ever would have wasted manually plugging in iOS devices and manually sycing them on the earlier, more reliable versions...

There seems to be a few topics for the same problem?

Why doesn't the moderator consolidate into one topic "wi-fi not working correctly after 5.0 released"??

This problem persists, without response from Apple, for quite a while.

I guess it is now time to show Apple what we think about their delay tactics.

I reviewed a SGSII and found it to be superior to iphone 4s in all significant categories.

As soon as I can, I will make the move!
