iOS 5.0.1 problems - Searching for Network and battery life still isnt great.

So I dont know if anyone else is having this problem but I upgrade to iOS 5.1 today and it seems to me that my network is being dropped A LOT today. I know it probably doesnt help that I'm on T-Mobile with a factory unlocked iPhone 4 but it seems that before I upgraded, I was able to keep my network for a longer amount of time. Also, I think iOS 5.1 actually made the battery life worse. Im down to 40% and thats without any calls, a few texts and very little wifi surfing.

Reply if your having the same problem lol

Yes the iOS 5.1 is having issues with the WiFi staying connected as well as the WiFi reconnecting to known networks. I just upgraded my iPhone 4 from 5.0.1 to 5.1 today and so far it seems to be a lot nicer than iOS 5. There are many new apps that are actually fully functional right now, but I cant use these new apps unless I have WiFi Connection. SO what I did was, I re-checked everything that I installed on the phone as far as the apps and iOS 5.1, to ensure that I had done it correctly. After this I knew that this wasn't my error, because I installed totally fresh and wiped everything today before updating. I went into the General settings and tried to reconnect to WiFi, which it did so, then turned the phone to sleep and woke it up. NO WiFi connection!!!! SO, just go back to settings, General, then to Reset. Once here, after pressing Reset, it will ask to " Reset all settings, Erase All Content and Settings, Reset Network, Reset Keyboard, Reset Home Screen Layout, and lastly Reset Location Warnings". Choose "RESET NETWORK SETTINGS". This will rest the network settings in the phone and turn off to a White Apple and Reboot. Once back in the phone, folllow the same procedures as connecting to a Network and select the one that is yours. Connect and put the phone to sleep. Once you come back up, there should be confirmation that WiFi is connected. So good luck.

Yesterday i updated my iPad2 to iOS 5.1 and charged my battery to 100%. Before update, iPad2 lasted for 10 days without recharging. So i was very surprised what i saw when i woke up hour ago. From 100% yesterday at 11pm the battery droped to 58%!!!!!!!??? during one night !!!!!! 42% in one night !!!!! So i guess i'll have to charge him today again. Hope some1 will do something with it.

I'm having the same issues. I cannot send or receive texts (I missed texts from my fiance who has a Blackberry, which led to a huge fight, THANKS APPLE).

I have an iPhone 4. AT&T is my carrier. Had no problems with 5.

Tried Restoring and reloading my stored backup.

Tried hard reboot, three times.

Reset network settings.

None worked.

Texting seems to only work as iMessaging to other iPhones. That's some BS.

The new update s&cks Please fix it or let us go back to 5.

It is weird.. Really, really weird. Afterp upgrading to iOS 5.1 (iPhone 4) i got No Service and couldn't managed to solve the problem until I replaced my sim card with the SAME one from one mobile operator. As It turned out for me the solution was in sim card. As a matter of fact my sim was fine until upgrading, after it misteryously stopped working .. ***? I really don't know.. Any suggestions?
