iOS 5.0.1 - Made my iPhone 4S battery performance worse!

I have a 3GS and same problem on it.

After the update battery drains fast.

In two hours dropped 20% without any talk.

how is your 3GS battery life before using iOS 5.1? whether the difference is significant?

When I used 5.0.1 everything was normal.

When I switched to 5.1 battery drains in a night with same conditions.

I can trace it easily because there is big difference.

Now I am trying to switch 5.0.1 again but this is a big problem for other unskilled users and Apple!

hmm,.. how about before you use iOS 5.0.1 (original iOS for 3GS)?

is there a significant difference before and after you update to IOS 5.0.1?

because I think the problem is in software rather than hardware. is that correct?

I never had a problem with battery life on my iPhone 4. But since I upgraded to iOS 5.1 my battery life got terrible. It drains almost 60% overnight (8-9 hrs). 3G and data is turned off. Just WiFi is on. And it shouldn't be a problem because battery life was fine with 5.0.1 and before... Can't believe Apple doesn't do testings before releasing updates...

I remember that they are approximately same before 5.0.1.

This is a software problem but It occurs only on my device or not.

so these cases become very strange because every user has a different problem.

My performance has gone down too. I'm not running location - always check that! In 5 minutes I've gone from 100% to 97% and I've also decreased the brightness on the screen as well.

Apple requires you to have the appropriate tokens. The servers will simply not let you downgrade your firmware.

If not. Take it to an apple store (If Turkey has one) then tell them your predicament and they should downgrade it for you.

I was excited about this download but my battery is worse as well! So you think it's possible for me to complain to Apple and get a new phone? I got the 4s a month after it's release so I should be under warranty.

Upgraded to ios 5.1:

Standby: 12 hours 1 mins

Usage: 1 hour 28 mins

Battery Remaining: 88%

Overall, I can't complain as my battery only seems to get better. Not even sure if toggling 3G off is making a difference. I never had battery problems with 5.0 or 5.0.1. Bluetooth off and everything else is on.
