iOS 5.0.1 - Made my iPhone 4S battery performance worse!

I upgraded my iphone 4S to the 5.0.1 release today. However, I've noticed that my battery life has actually gotten worse since I upgrade. For example, I've been home for approximately 30 minutes and my battery has gone down in 8%. In the 30 minutes, I had a 30 second phone call and sent 3 text messages. I am connected to our wi-fi (which is a strong connection) and I have re-started my phone.

Please let me know if anyone else is having any issues!?!!?

Apple - Can you please fix the iphone 4s battery issues? I might as well go get a 4g android phone if the battery life remains this poor.

iPhone 4S, iOS 5, Verizon

So ios 5.0.1 has actually made my battery worse. Dropped 5% in 9 minutes oh with no use. *** Apple, 4s is my first iPhone and I regret getting it. I've already had my original 4s replaced due to the battery and this doesn't seem to be any better. I'll gladly have my old broken blackberry back! What's the point of having an iphone if I can only STARE at it because the slightest use will drain the battery life?

Hi I have an iphone 4S 64GB from AT&T. My iphone works perfectly I think that there is no problem with the phone, it's just that the phone is too powerful and uses too much energy but it would last longer depending on how you use your phone. It's like my computer when it's on battery and if you use it too much or if you use it in high performance of course it's gonna die faster but if you are not too addicted to your iphone I'm sure your battery would last longer.

I don't know if you guys understand what I'm trying to say...

And please don't compare an iphone 4s with any other phone cuz this devise has no competition out there with any other devise comparing the speed or graphic or durability this is the best phone in the world.

Ive noticed that if you compared to iPhones 4s

Go ahead and turn the battery percentage to one of them and use the other one with it off and you would see that your battery would last longer...

I think that this battery percentage is annoying lol cuz when I have it off I see my phone last longer! :)

I am new here. The reason I went to this forum because I am very disappointed with iphone 4S battery drainning so fast after upgraded to ios 5.1. The ios 5.0 st least worked a little better than ios 5.1. This is worse than antenna issued with iphone 4. This is my business phone and I could not babysit this phone. I have been using 3G, 3GS and 4 and this is my worse experience with the 4S. I like iphone so much but this battery issue will ruin apple reputation. I have less than 30 days if no cure for this in a few days, I may have to return the phone to AT&T and trade with Samsung Galaxy S2 even though I do not like it. I have no choice and I need reliable phone for business.

Mines been draining too - not so much in standby but with light use my usage stats have gone down significantly since the update ! Is there anyway of downgrading back to 5?

Thanks

NO! Why does everyone keep asking the same question about downgrading when the answer is always no. Apple will not do it so why even ask.

I agree my battery life hasn't gotten any better with the upgrade. My partner and I have been comparing the battery life and her battery life lasts three times as much as mine. We have been comparing the usage and standby times are there is a huge difference. This is the worst iphone battery life I have ever experienced. So I truly think that Apple needs to look into this fix, because it didn't fix mine even restoring the phone and re-installing with the upgrade. So IOS 5.0.1 didn't fixed the battery!!

Ive updated to 5.1. Under usage in general settings, my phone says its been 30 mins since last full charge, and I'm at 90%. That's 20% an hour. That update did nothing.

One of the major reasons I bought this phone is because Apple promised it would great battery life. I feel lied to, duped. I rely on my phone and and am now at risk of being cut off during a regular business day. I refuse to disable features I've paid for to achieve a reasonable battery life. I believe Apple has a duty to delivery what was promised. They gotmy money, now I'd like what I paid for.

I've long been a lover of Apple products. And that's because Steve Jobs had a commitment to perfection. This is a far cry from perfection, an not at all what I expected from Apple.

I own a 3GS that was on iOS 5.0 without any battery draining issues. I just upgraded to the 5.1 update about 30 minutes ago and my Battery immediatley decreased from 100% to 92%, this is after it just came of a full charge 2 hours prior without any usage. This is without doing any calling and just doing about 5 minutes of brownsing to validate that the network was not impacted after the update. The 5.1 update created an Battery Issue when one was not present before. APPLE, please fix this....

iphone 4s worse with ios 5.1 than 5.0

went to apple store genius bar, was told to do a hard reset as 5.1 software was probably corrupt on my phone. Reset entire phone, deleted all data, restarted it as new phone, synched/restored my data...drumroll please, battery life still horrific ! I think this is no "software issue " at all but a hardware problem. Considering apple just sold like 10 million new phones, I dont think they want to exactly have a recall. At this point dont know what to do..perhaps I will need to go back to store and get refund ? This phone has so much up and running even when minimizing half the apps etc it would need a nuclear power plant to power it

This ***** !
