Iphone 4s Battery life WORSE with upgrade. Anyone else seeing same?

I was not experiencing a battery issue until I upgraded to 5.0.1 last night. So far this morning, my phone has been off the charger for 2 hours, and my battery is down to 90%, and all I've done is read a couple of e-mails and checked-in on FourSquare. This is terrible!

update didnt fix my battery issues but im sure its made them worse...

Charged to 100% went and took shower - drove to work - checked email. WOW 83%???? What happened?

I'm having the same promblem. I upgraded to 5.0.1 and my battery life is still bad maybe even worse! Nothing is running. I have very few apps and I barely get on them. I don't know what to do :/ Fix this ASAP please!

I wasn't having major issues with my battery until I upgraded to 5.0.1. It is definitely worse! Unplugged my phone at 7:30 am. By 11:30 it's down to 70% and all I did was make a 5 minute phone call.

So with the update 5.0.1 I thought the battery life would be better but it's actually worse, I hope apple fix this issue fast. Why do new iPhones have problems e.g iPhone4 (antenna problems), iPhone4s battery life.

Battery is worse than before with no changes to settings.

Same here, did the update to 5.0.1 last night (11.10.2011) and finished out the day, then charged to 100% overnight. Unplugged from charger this morning at 7 AM and at 8 AM when I got to work it was 86% with little usage (checked email for a minute or two). Whats going on here? The battery on my Andriod phone was better than this! I had high hopes coming to iPhone that I would get better battery life, but my dreams have been crushed. I still have the battery tweaks in place from 5.0 (timezone update off, fetch email, etc.)

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0. The batter life was questionable at best. It would drop with minimal usage. Nothing like the iPhone 4 with 4.X. I upgraded last night to 5.0.1 and noticed it is dropping just as fast. What is going on Apple? This entire upgrade experience has been a nightmare. So disappointing. I hope they release another update soon that actually addresses the battery issue.

My iphone 4s has reasonable battery life before. After updating IOS yesterday, I too noticed faster battery drainage. Had the phone fully charged at 8am. Went to work, few text messages, no phone calls, accessed apps twice for 5 minutes and 10 hours down the line, the battery is low 😟 Hopefully apple come up with a solution quick.

I'm in the same boat, the battery is getting chewed on as bad if not worse. Now here's the real kicker, my bandwidth on the 3g has dropped significantly. The downloads are atrocious and the uploads aren't much better. If anyone happens to have speedtest.net app I'd ask that you run it with wifi off and see if you get poor performance.

I updated my IOS yesterday and it looks like its worsned my condition.

As soon as I unplugged my Iphone 4s it reduced the battery to 98% and its been discharging ever since at a higher rate (compared before the update).

I dont want to uncheck or disable anything more.If i try disable anything more it will lose its status as Smart phone.
