iCal birthday problems

Some of the birthdays on iCal (from Address Book) are wrong. They are out by one day and one year (appearing in iCal one day earlier, and taking one year off the person's age). Deleting the entry and starting again does not work. Error seems to occur for early 1990s. Can anyone help? Problem occurred before upgrading to Lion, and is still there.

The solution is to enetr birthdays in with just the day and month - no year. They then appear on the correct day.

Entering no year might work when saving to cloud or local, but not when saving to a calendar server that is not apple.

Apple should just stop storing birthdays in local time zones and not convert the timezone incorrectly. Hence this is an issue for NZ timezone.

So after searching through a bunch of these posts regarding some Birthdays in iCal being early or late by one day. Some but not all of mine were early by one day.

I realised that I had been across the dateline with my computer and had not reset or turned off the computer since this. I reset my MacBook Air and Voila! all my Birthdates are showing on the correct day. This should work with both directions of the dateline for one day ahead or one day behind. I guess I need to turn my computer off and on again more often then I thought.

I hope this corrects this issue for everyone else as well.
