After upgrading to 5.0.1 my iPhone is draining the battery even faster! Anyone else seeing this problem?

well, we are not all having the same issue... my iphone 4, after installing 5.0.1. is much better... almost 22h in stand by and 3h with safari, facebook, some short calls and my battery still have 55%. for me, much better than before. don't have a solution for you all, but after up grade to 5.0. i had to reset and set up as a new device and it did work.

Now Apple admits the fix didn't fix the problem for all phones.

This is not a one off. Their testing program and development rigor is falling apart.

Maybe someone should give the Jobs answer and tell people to just live with it? (Much like - don't hold it that way - the response to Antennagate)

I truly want to see Apple suceed. My guess is they are suffereing from being too large, too cocky and are all drinking from the same bath water.

CMMi Level 5 (for real - not the cert - but the rigor) and Deming is their only hope.

I managed all of software engineering for NORAD - across all 26 companies. The nation's missile warning system upgrade was late and over budget, we had a big destaff coming, quality and productivity tanked and morale was very, very low. Plus we had to go from CMMi Level 2 to 4 in two years. We did it all. I would be more than happy to help you though this. Not a joke - no a scam - an honest offer.

I've found running the battery down does improve things. When doing it though, it was noticeable how long my 4S sat at 1% while I was opening games, music and videos... Since the full discharge and 100% top-up, battery is at 76% since 1:30pm today. (It's now 11:25pm.)

However, Siri is not working, voice dictation is not working, wifi is playing up and I'm not happy!

Button mashing numbskulls...

First off try reading several of the fixes before actual enacting one. And certainly don't follow what some of these clueless boobs here say.

Would you buy stocks from someone on a chat site?

Secondly, stop listening to the tech blogs, they blow this out of perportion, go to your nearest Apple store if you don't know what you are doing and ask for help.

The geniuses are there for a reason. STOP BEING SO GD LAZY!

If none of that works, put back in the box, get a refund, get a droid and whine elsewhere...

Oh and my phone works awesome.
