Same here, worse battery life.

Wi-Fi and ALL notifications are OFF. Location based services are all on butthe devices has not been used all morning. Looking through the location basedservices, none have run today.

This morning at 9:20am I took the phone off the charger and it was 100%. Byabout 10:30am it was at 91% or so. It's 12pm here now and it’s at 86%. I onlyused the phone twice since it has been off the charger. Both times were only tocheck the battery life.

Everything in my recently used bar has also been closed since last night.

I expect this from the PC and Android world because there are so manyunknown variables across all the hardware but Apple has its closed platform. This is truly a disgrace that they cannot get their own software to run ontheir own hardware. It's as if no testing went into this product.

Edit: The most ridiculous thing is that we are forced to stay on the currentupdate. There's never an option to downgrade. For a company that prides itselfon innovation, it really has none.

OMG OMG!!!!!

This is the strangest thing I've seen happen yet, I just fully charged my 4s and I checked my usage 4 mins after disconnecting, it said 4min usage and 1 min standby, fair enough, BUT I've been using it non stop since then and I just went back in to look and it now says I have 27 mins usage and 28 mins standby ???????

No wonder it's draining more since I updated, it's reading everything wrong!!

Me too. Before the update, in an an hour it went from 96% to 60% in just over an hour. Now after the update I call Apple for a separate issue (Couldn't do App Updates, wouldn't let me connect to app store) and said you know I thought the iOS5.1 update was going to address this and since I've been on the call it's dropping about 1% every minute or two I'm talking to you. He said, it's probably just wi-fi , turn it off and call us back if you still notice anything.

Really? I'm eager to see how they responde to this one. Congrats your antennae works better now, but your phone wont' last long enough to dial the phone number now.

I have a white iPhone 4 which I got about a month or so after they went on sale just earlier this year. Life has been decent. After doing the update to 5.0.1 last night, this morning, I'm seeing my battery life drain much faster than ever before. I've not done anything different that my normal day to day: I drive to work with bluetooth streaming music each morning, wifi is turned off as soon as I leave home, I only check email and texts within the first several hours of my day. Result today: my battery life is down to 78%, whereas it used to still be in the 90s, if not above 95.

😕

Same for me... 5.0.1 is worst!!! My battery life is ridiculously short. Without using the iPhone i'm loosing 10% per hour... if i use it... 1% to 2% per minute. Apple fix this soon as possible... this is an emergency! Software bugs are always part of electronic products... but this is disapointing and UNACCEPTABLE!!! Especially from Apple.

Phone taken off charge at 8:30am, 100%
By 9:00am with only 3-4mins of checking news battery down to 94%.

So on the way to work fully charged again.

Within minutes battery drops to 95%. I hard reset the phone and battery jumps to 98%. Then on battery drops 1% every 5-8minutes with no usage! If I am using iMessage then battery is dropping as I type lol. What a joke!

Phoen itself will randomly heat up with no processes running. Have manually closed all apps. Everything is on a bare minimum inc screen resolution!

Yet the apple store advise me no issues! Whats my apple care for when the product/software is faulty!

I should add I have iphone4 and iphone4s!
