I too am pretty mad... I'm not that rich and I bought my iPhone 3GS 32GB two years ago for approximately 600 euros. Until now it has worked perfectly. But after the iOS 5 -update.... holy <insert curse word>. The whole phone is slooooooow. It constantly jams when I try to listen to music, battery life *****, it just feels like its "rusted" if you will. And it cost me my half of my graduation money. Now if I buy a thing that costs me more than half-thousand euros, I expect it to last for longer than two years. Now, I've been planning on buying a new one (iPhone 4 or 4S) but...

I think I'll have to do a reclamation, since I haven't abused my phone in any way. And it did have the one fault that 3G and 3GS all had: the weak plastic, so two cracks appeared from nowhere.

Slow and broken, that's how my iPhone feels.

I have a 3GS and never had any problems until the dark day I "upgraded" to iOS5. Now, the battery life is really an issue. Even if my phone is fully charged, I often have the phone shut down as though the battery is dead. When I try to turn the phone back on, the white apple icon appears as though the phone is starting up, but the screen goes black again in a moment or so. In every case, the phone absolutely will not come back on until I plug it in to an electrical outlet. Yesterday, I had looked at the battery percentage meter just before it went dead and it was at 80%. When I got home, I plugged the phone in to get it to come back on and it still showed 80% power. It's like the iOS5 temporarily tricks the phone into thinking the battery is dead until it is plugged in again. Even on a good day, when the phone does not go dead, the phone can go from 100% to 50% in about an hour, even if the phone is not being used. Once the phone gets to 20% battery, it might as well be 0%, because it will go dead with a couple of minutes.

Hello!I have the same problem with my new unlocked iPhone4s. It was absolutely ok until I upgraded to IOS 5.0.1. Now my iPhone is loosing signal every 10 minutes, and after rebooting it can make or receive only 1 call, and then again-"invalid sim" or just looking for signal all the time. I even can't find out how much money do I have on my iPhone. I tried to change my sim cart to an absilutely new, but nothing changed. it really feels as if I had an iPod. Pleeeese, solve this problem,it is very annoying.

i have just installed 5.0.1 on a iphone 4 here in Aaustralia and backed up through i tunes and lost everything on my phone even though it was in itunes

i could not get it to even sync with windows let alone itunes

After much searching on the net found that by doing a complete system reset through the general setings it has fixed the problem

I have the same problem and i had write a complaint in this forum before, now my iphone 4s is back to normal with the latest ios 5.0.1.

my problems start when i click on software update that pop up in general setting. after update then the problems start..

last night i try my luck with restore my phone to original setting. I plug in the phone and connect to itunes, i click on restore. Then itunes start downloading the latest ios 5.0.1 to restore to my phone.

Magically.. after restore...all things is back to normal...and my battery last longer..

I just dont restore from backup..

all my contact i get back from icloud.

At least im trying something before i decide to change my phone..

and its work!

Its bizzare. My 4s went kaput after I upgraded to 5.0.1; terrible battery life, sim card failure, no service message etc. My wife's was fine even after upgrading to 5.0.1. I've had to change my phone since. The new one seemed to be ok (I'm now running 5.0), but for the last week or so, the battery life has again become terrible. I have not made any setting changes, so kjust cannot figure it out!

who have problems after ios5.0.1 updated?
