Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
The 'My Number' in All Contacts is wrong. It shows the SIM card's original number but I transfered my own number to this SIM from day one. I tried going into Settings/Phone/My Number but it appears that is locked and I cannot change it. Restart the phone and re-inserting the SIM card does not appear to be solving the problem. Any further thoughts?

To change "My Number" go to settings-messages-imessages turn off/on then your number will appear!

I Tried this on my iPhone 6 but it did not work until I switched off iMessage in settings then switched phone off. Then restarted and went into settings again and turned it back on and hey presto it had my number. So thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
To fix the problem on an iPhone 5s need to turn off your Wi-Fi and dial pound pound 873283 pound push the call button then push OK when the question comes up to reset then push OK again to reset it
