iPhone 4S 5.0.1 Update Improves Battery w/ Settings Reset

After installing the update make sure you reset all setttings. I have done a few updates now and have had much better sucess after settings reset all. Standby drain has been virtually eliminated from 2-4% hr before update. It is located in settings/reset//reset all settings. You loose some wifi and desktop settings, but data, apps, etc remain intact.

Hey fine folks, hope all of your phones are making some progress at the very least, as we await some remedy to all of this down the line, in hopes of it getting resolved. I hadn't turned to any discussion boards, seeking things out as this is my very first iPhone, so I don't have a great sense of understanding about the operability of iphones, much less the functional aspects of its battery life.

I figured I'd throw my two cents in to the ever-expanding sea of the comparing of notes. All I've done, ever since I got my 4S is a complete battery recalibration (starting from a 100% charge only to run it all the way down to a brick and then recharging it up to 100%) as well as a resetting of settings because there was a glitch in iOS 5 with push notifications not working with iCloud, which didin't make thinks any better until the update rolled around. Other than that, I've got all kinds of stuff turned on on my phone, and looking at my stats ever since my last charge this is was it has logged down as of now, at 72%:

Usage: 2h 10 min

Standby: 18h 40 min

Now, should it stand at way more than 72%? As noted earlier, I have no experience of owning a portable iDevice, so I wouldn't know as to whther or not this performance seems ideal or not. For the sake of validation, I'd appreciate it if anyone, who thinks they have a healthy device, would give their input toward these stats.

Appreciate your comments.

Ok guys... The next update 5.0.2 is supposedly coming out "no later than next week" and is supposed to fix the battery problems. When it comes out, should I get the update and see what happens, and do a full restore if I have to? Or should I restore before the update? I don't mind restoring if I have to, I'm just worried about my Camera Roll. I have about 1200 pictures. I obviously don't want to restore, but if it's the only thing possible, I'll have to do it.

When I got my iPhone 4S, I restored it from my iPhone 3G backup.

Hello. Is the Iphone 4S my first Iphone. My old phone is a Blackberry Torch 2.

I updated my iPhone to 5.0.1 IOS, but my battery is charged at 07:00 am in 100%, and at noon and is 52%. Now, 08:37 pm and is off the phone. A curiosity is that off with 10 to 12% load automatically.
I have a also a iPAD 2, and when I had the IOS 4.3, I loaded my iPhone every 2 or 3 days on standby.
Now with the update 5 and later with the 5.0.1, I have to load your battery every night. Today at 07:00 am was 100%. Now with the 3G turned off and only with WIFI on, I have 68% battery.
A hug and I hope the Apple contact me before I end my term technical support. The preferred language is Spanish or Portuguese contact.
