Memory refers to the amount of RAM that you computer contains not the hard drive space, which is what you are talking about.
Most likely your macbook pro will have a 500GB hard drive. This means that you can store alot more than 4GB in your iTunes library.
No, not at all.
There are two kinds of memory storage in a computer. One is temporary memory and the other permanent memory (storage).
The 4GB of memory is the temporary kind, called RAM (random access memory) and it is used by the computer operating system and programs you are running. When you run iTunes it will use some of this 4GB of memory to function properly, show you the screens, menu and controls, etc. But the iTunes Library which contains your music and videos is on the permanent storage which is your hard disk. On the MacBook Pro your internal hard disk is called Macintosh HD. I don't know what model MB Pro you have, but you likely have a hard disk that is at least a couple hundred GB.
If you have hundreds of albums you may end up having to be creative with your iTunes Library storage.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for that how do i find out how much space i have on the hard drive? Sorry very technically challenged.
Go to finder.
Right click on "Macintosh HD" and then click "Get Info"
