Can't use genius with iTunes Match?

Hey look, 5.1 brings back the Genius button with iTunes Match!

So much for all the people trying to invent an actual reason it wasn't there.

I do agree serff, I was out of line making any suppositions as to Apple's reasoning for excluding Genius with Match.

My main point was concerning the people being rude and whining rudely.

I work in IT and I've worked in other service insudstries and I've never been treated so poorly by end-users as when I have been working in IT. The common phrase is "FIX THIS". That is the rude whine that I complain about.

And yes you're a paying customer, I agree, but that doesn't entitle you to bark orders at people trying to do their jobs.

That's all, I'm just sick of the unconstructive barking of demands and that **** ignorant phrase "FIX THIS!"

I digress, Yay! We have Genius back! It is a kickass product regardless.

It worked fine all morning. Now all songs say "Try Again". Re-synced several times. No help.

Looks like they didn't *quite* fix the problem.

I guess I'll wait for 5.11

I was so excited to see 5.1 added genius playlist to iTunes match but every time I try to use it I get a message to try again. Come in Apple, I really want to use this service but there are just too many problems right now.

Same problem here. I have the genius button back on my iPhone 4 (with iTunes Match subscription), but it can't find any matches for any song I've tried so far. Now genius mixes don't work in iTunes on my MBP either...

Same problem worked for 1 day! Needs to be fixed!

Apple. Why are you TAKING a service away from us PAYING subscribers? Not cool. I too, always used to use the Genius playlist tool on my Apple TV all the time. Then I subscribed to iTunes Match and now I don't have Genius. Lame. Really Lame Apple.

I have given up and turned iTunes Match off. shame.

Had the same issue... but i was able to fix it by (in the "Store" menu) deactivating iTunes Match, upadting genius and activate iTunes Match back.

iTunes Match is awful. I just downloaded it. I can't see songs in my playlists. Genius doesn't work. It freezes my phone. I can't use genius. It's like voluntarily adding a virus to your computer and iPhone and paying for it on an annual basis. Perfect.
