iTunes Match vs. Play Counts

Hello everyone - I need some help.

I signed up for Match last night, and it matched/uploaded just about all of my music. I've been messing with it today trying to figure out how it works, and ran into an error that I can't figure out - play counts.

I downloaded a new album (CAMP by Childish Gambino, if you're wondering), imported it into iTunes, uploaded it to iCloud/Match, and it was listed as "Matched." The album showed up on my iPhone and my iPad. Perfect!

I listened to it a few times on my phone, rated a few songs, etc, then opened up iTunes to see what it did. It pulled down the ratings from the cloud, but not the play counts. I plugged my phone in and synced (wifi sync wasn't connecting due to an unknown error) in hopes that an itunes sync would pull the play counts down, but no luck...

Anyone else tried this or have a similar experience? I have a few playlists built around play counts and would really like to have my play counts updated. Thanks!

Play Count and Last Played date:

This works from computer to computer, although sometimes it takes a bit of prodding to get it to update other computers.

This didn't work at all when playing from an iOS device. I messed with this for awhile when Match was first released, but could never get it to work.

This and the Smart Playlist issues have kept me from using this on my iOS devices.

My playlist counts are not updating either. I just played a song on my iMac and the playcount went from 0 to 1. I then played the same song on my MacBook Pro and the playcount went from 0 to 1. Neither device has updated the playcount to 2.

Also smartplaylists that depend on playcounts or words in the comments field do not carry over to iOS devices. So if I lmit a playlist to the 25 songs most recently played all the songs will show up on my iPhone or iPad. I really like iTunes Match but I wish this worked as well.

I was planning to use iTunes Match on two computers (MacBook and PC) as I could not find any other solution to sync both libraries and playlists (even Home Sharing). I would not use Match on iPod touch and would stay syncing it on my Mac. Had somebody tested that syncing then of my playcounts from my iPod to my Mac and then eventually to the PC would work?

My playcounts and Date Last Played are not updating either. Album art has been very slow to migrate but it seems to be happening. Seems to me they will have to fix the play counts problem and with any luck they are reading these posts! Most of my other changes including rattings & genre updates make it through but I also noticed that a song that I had updated the year did not update.

Glad to see I'm not the only one fighting with this.

Update: I've tried playing tracks on my macbook pro, iphone, ipad, aTV2, and my work mac mini, and the only one that will update play counts is my macbook pro. It will randomly update a track or two with play counts from the other devices, but not consistently at all.

I'm going to report this on http://www.apple.com/feedback/ and hope for the best. Thank you all for your suggestions!
