Well I have a doubt.
I use my iMac to send files over bluetooth to other mobile deives (Non Apple). By blue tooth settings allow me to transfer any content to such devices. When this is the case, why not with my ipad or ipod? Mere excuse of saying that for added security this feature has not been enabled in iOS devices. Security issues are common for all of my devices. It looks by closing the road for traffic and claiming that you have made the "road accident-free"
As long as i have internet connection I have no issues in sharing files over Wi-Fi. But the moment i dont have internet, I am not able to send/receive files over wi-fi/LAN. This is where I am stuck.
Will apple really look into this?
Hi Julian, no I'm not a 'terrorist' - as I said, my oposition to cloud services is 'on principle'.
Yes, as you point out I am open to hackers and govt agencies (same thing really) every time I send an email, particularly with an att., when I use wifi, bluetooth or my wireless internet connection.
Thanks for the link to Pastebot, looks great.
In iOS you can't send files via Bluetooth

Yes, I pointed that out in the second post of this thread.
I dont want Apple to change their BT policies.
I have no issues sahring files through dropbox/notes/icloud over internet. But what I am asking is without BT, and No internet and only with Wi-Fi/LAN, is there any possibility to share files? say through icloud/dropbox. In my opionion they work only when internet is available. Again dont come with a message that apple or the appa dont support on Wi-Fis with out net connection.
Thanks
How would you expect to connect to a cloud based service such as iCloud or DropBox without and internet connection? Both of those services require that you upload information to a remote service which requires internet access.
I know you are going to come out with this answer. I believe apple's iPad is more of a PC for its inability to place voice call over 3G and others. If you dont agree to this, then iPad/iPad mini are just a mere larger version of iPod and nothing more. Why cant Apple give options for iPad or iPod be connected to iMacs over LAN (Wi/Fi). I know you would ask me to install iOS server App. 😁
I do own iMac, Mc BookAir, iPad and and iPod for your information. if these devices cant be intreconnected with Apples own resources, securely(with out internet but with LAN), then its shame on Apple. And this is the only reason why I am seriously debating that why I should go for iPhone?
Anyway its my opinion.
If your computers are connected to iCloud or DropBox, they are connected using the internet. They may be connected to each other without internet access but not to any remote servers.
