Sign In To Use This Computer for Automatic Downloads

Add me to the list of disgruntled users..... APPLE THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING just like typing in all caps! The net and Apple Support Communities is full of dissatisfied iTunes users. I have even signed in with my Apple id and still get the message. Let's get with it and fix this BUG!

When are the idiots at Apple going to get this fixed??? On the verge of divesting myself of all Apple products including iPhone. They really don't give a rat's posterior do they?

Yes, I have tried all the solutions posted but with no positive result. This is an Apple bug -- very annoying too! 😟

Another frustrated iTunes user. I have tried everything discussed here and non of the solutions seem to work. Apple please helppppp!

This worked for me:

1. Go to the iTunes Store in iTunes
2. Select "Account" from the drop down menu in iTunes top right corner where your Apple ID is.
3. In the section "iTunes in the cloud" it should say how many devices are registerd for automatic downloads. Select the link to the right that lets you manage the registered devices and remove the one causing trouble.
4. Ensure the settings in the "Store" preferences are as shown by ProMaxed in the earlier post.
5. Quit iTunes.

Deleting the device in "iTunes in the cloud" did not work for me.. this pop up is soo annoying. I don't even have to turn off my computer to get this problem. It happens if I exit and then restart the program. UGH.

Did not work for me either. To the right of "iTunes in the Cloud" all I see is a "Learn More" button which does not produce a list of devices when clicked. Still getting the pop up, twice, each time I launch iTunes.

I don't even have iTunes Match activated so no luck here.

Having the same issue. I cannot even access my music on itunes match either. To get it to work again I have to stop itunes match and start it again every time i close itunes. Im running 64-bit BTW.

iTunes 10.5.2 is now available. I installed it and the problem appears to have been resolved... BUT... I am on a mac. I would assume that it is resolved for Win users too. Post back and let us know. 🙂

Interesting, and it's not just a win. problem because I had it too. Sometimes you can find solutions outside these discussion boards, especially for win. platform. Sorry to hear it is still happening for you.

try this: start iTunes by right-click, and "Run as administrator", then enter your password when it asks, close iTunes, start it again (normally, as usual, this time), and voilá!

i had the same problem on my new notebook (Win7, 64 bit), but this method eliminated the problem today morning.

please let me now, if it worked for you, too! ;-)
