Cant verify Apple ID

I guess 80 or so people around the world having the same problem is not a big number for Apple...

Same problem on my wife's new (and my first Apple product ever) 4s. I can't get her verified to pull her friggen contacts down on her new phone for work.

Today I bought Ipad2 and I have the same problem.

Same problem and I've tried it with 3 different accounts! It's all gone apple pear shaped!

It seems as though there migh be some problem with the whole my appleid system or server. I've tried to reset the password I set up to my account. I've got the: "email sent" message and nothing came. I've checked spam and it's not there. So maybe the server is "dead" or having major difficulties...

The problem is, most people already have itunes accounts so don't need to verify them. This is only a problem for people making new accounts.

I have spoken to 5 different people from Apple UK today. None of them had any idea about this issue and were telling me it was something I was doing wrong. One promised he could only fix the problem if I bought an additional AppleCare package, they are trying to make money from their own mistakes!

Trying to con people is not the way to resolve this!!

Trying to download "Find my iPhone" on to the two new phones we bought for my workplace...so. frustrating. Just spent the last 20 minutes on the phone with Customer Support...kept getting passed around, and then hung up on all together. VERY POOR service Apple. Fix this problem now!!!

Same problem! I tried one hour last night, and tow hours this morning. Changed 3 different emails but the same problem!!!

Same problem. To think that I would be happy receiving my first Apple product for my birthday gift! And it's now 2.30 AM already...

Jesus people they are working on it! COMPUTER SYSTEMS HAVE PROBLEMS OCCASIONALLY!!!!! If something happens to your car, do you say "**** toyota, my radiator leaks. What a ****** company! I never wanted a Toyota product but was FORCED to buy one and it is ruining my life!!!!!" Get a grip. They are working on it and will have it fixed as soon as possible. They are human beings you know.

I just spoke with a technician at Apple. I hsven't been able to verify because the wife has the phone. but he said all that you need to do is:

1) Go to Settings --> iTunes Store and login with your Apple ID and pwd

2) Go to Settings --> iCloud and login with your Apple ID and pwd

seems that the phone requires you to login to the store first...
