Cant verify Apple ID

I created a new Apple ID.

System requests that I check mail to verify

I check mail

Click on link that takes me to verification page

I enter info

I get:

"This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID."

If I try to manage apple ID it says I need to verify.

I click on send verification email.

I check mail

Click on link that takes me to verification page

I enter info

I get:

"This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID."

...and again and again...

ANY IDEAS?

Trying to create a new account in the Chilean Store, and cannot verify email address. Seems like the problem is worldwide.

The problem is you can't verify your email address, that is btw the appleid.

Since no technician in any country knows what to do we are basically stuck...

JDecker1978 - Your example is totally irrelevant. A more closer argument would be if I purchased a car and it came without wheels and I could only buy wheels from the original supplier, without those wheels, it cannot operate.

Sorry, but there is no reason to defend the company in this instance. Practical example: I acquired this MacBook Pro for development purposes at work. I need Xcode to actually begin working. I need to login to the App Store with my apple ID in order to download Xcode. I create a brand new apple ID, and never had an account before. I am now stuck in an endless loop of verification - this makes the product unusable. I think it's fair to demand answers in this instance, and not just "we're working on it".

Same problem here. Absolutely certain this is first use of my e-mail address. Can't believe this has been going on for nearly 24 hours without a single posting by anyone from Apple. None of my e-mail queries have been answered either. Just Apple's usual stoney wall of silence. I can't believe I've been talked into getting an iPhone - the experience so far is dreadful. Shame on you Apple for treating us like this.

on phone with Apple. I was able to have them feel as annoyed as me and the kid on the phone says that he is going to top advisor and i might be on hold for 20min. he wants to see this resolved. as well as my other issues regarding Match account saying its associated with another account
