pause video by touching the screen?

Hello,

Is there a way to pause a video by simply touching the screen? By default, I have to touch the screen, then press the pause button at the bottom. Then to resume, I have to touch the screen and then press the play button. I am watching a foreign language video where I need to pause it constantly. It would be easier if I could do a single action to pause and unpause the video. Maybe there is a way to reassign the home button?
