apps will not update

I've been having the same problem since I updated to 5.0.1 - when did your's start? Have you figured out how to fix it yet?

Yes I'm having the Same problem with apps not able to update.... My Shazam App for one..Hmm? what is the solution to this?

Try signing out of your acct in the app store then sign back in and see if that helps. More details if possible would be helpful.

oh boy, i am so upset. i updated my ipod touch, and made sur to do the backup before. however, i lost alot of stuff, that ws not origininaly from this computer. i thought ot would be all saved. now its gone . never to come back

I was having the same problem in not being able to update apps on my my iPhone 4 and then tried the old Microsoft tactic of rebooting - so after shutting down and restarting the phone I was able to complete the pending updates.

I know how to sync my iphone onto itunes, and get the apps I buy, but it will no longer work, and I can't figure out where to ask for help. Obviously no one is getting back to you guys. Does ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?

I have the same problem that apps won't download or update. There will just sit ther with the with status waiting or paused. You can also not the use app when it is in this state. There is a way to update/download apps via iTunes on the pc but surely it should work just using the iPad alone as it did before the iOS upgrade.. I have also shut down and restarted the iPad to no avail.

I asked this earlier, then phoned a computer store to ask them. I was supposed to go in and he'd show me, but I just messed around with it, in the Settings. Obviously I had iCloud and other related stuff turned on, but I 're-turned' them on, or maybe off, then on again, and my apps started magically appearing. Anything that seemed related to that I worked on.

The 'waiting' thing is apparently a glitch. I suspect if I deleted it from my iphone, and also my computer, and then tried again it might work, but I haven't tried that. I guess I'd also have to convince iTunes that I did not already have it.

Maybe do what I did, and it might work. You downloaded iCloud of course I guess. Now when I download an app it magically jumps onto my phone, except that again today one arrived in 'waiting' mode, so I just deleted it.

Mine is working again, but I am not sure what made it work. I eventually went to iTunes and downloaded one app/updated seven which was the workaround I was given by Apple support. After some more googling I found articles at the Apple web site about standard network troublshooting which I first did not want to do but eventually reboot my router which I haven't done in a while. Since then I am able again to download apps directly on my iPad.

Again, I am not sure if any of this has solved the problem, but something has worked for me.

Has anyone found a solution to this? I am also having trouble updating my apps - they just sit in the waiting mode. I have a brand new iphone 4S and this is super frustrating!

I have apps stuck in waiting, tried lots but nothing working, can anyone shed any new light on this?

I had same trouble , I had all apps backed up on PC delete the apps that will not update , then re installed

the from sync on pc all Ok now

This is what works for me: Go to WiFi store, Starbucks, whatever, Open 'App Store' app on iPhone, see botton right corner ''Updates' click on that, or top right corner 'Update All' click on that, either one. This works for apps 'Waiting'.

I have no idea why it will not work plugged into my computer, but this way works. Hope it does for you.
