Maybe you did not hear the SIRI intro when 4S came out nor read the Apple website, but SIRI is a BETA product, and this is normal for a BETA product. If this was a paid app then I can see a big fuss, but not for a FREE BETA Product.

The longer this goes on with not a shred of information from Apple, the more irate and dissatisfied I become. Between this, the fact that iCloud with photostream is a disaster if you have more than one person in your family, and that i spent the better part of yesterday trying to get my printer to work again after upgrading my mac to OSX lion, I am really fed up. In just a matter of days i've gone from highly satisfied to thoroughly disgusted.

Apple, if you are listening, you need to understand that customer loyalty is a fragile thing. You need to respond with a very sincere apology and an explanation of what is being done to make all of this stuff work as advertised.

Siri is down in Arizona, too. This is not regional, it's everywhere. Siri was almost useless since the Thanksgiving holiday and now totally offline.

As usual, go to an "Expert Bar" and they will tell you you are the "first person" to mention this. Your phone carrier will give you the same blank stare, and Apple will not offer an useful guidance or restoration info (at least that I can find so far). Verizon just says, "well, you know, it's a BETA" and it has nothing to do with us...which is true, but what do you want to bet that is not what they are telling new customers.

Seems to me Siri died right around when they taught her Australian.

They certainly put her down under.

Siri is a cloud app and Apple is not in any way ready to accomodate a cloud app at this scale. Think hard about this before trusting your music or other files to iCloud, because you will cetainly be separated from that data for long periods of time without any help from Apple.

The good news with Siri is that it is little more than a toy. You could end up in real trouble trusting Apple with something important.

Meanwhile, since I PAID FOR THIS, I want it to WORK.

Apple wants everyone to hand them the keys to everything. I like their stuff, but that philosophy is dangerous from a company that is not as good as it thinks it is (and wasn't even when St. Steven was still there abusing his staff).

Look at what happens when a RIM server fails and whole nations, or hemispheres, or the planet loses wireless business email. It happens a lot. RIM/Blackberry will be as popular as a Wang Computer soon, but Apple thinks it can do far more than they did...and they can't.

Plus, the guy who invented Siri bailed out when she/it was launched, so a bunch of assistant chefs are running around the Apple kitchen now trying to remember this recipe...

4:35 PM here in Sacramento, CA and still no Siri. It hasn't worked at all today for me. Geez, I'd sure like to know what's wrong. Regardings some of the other comments, I also have had no problem with photostream or iCloud. This is also the first time that Siri hasn't worked since I got the phone about 2.5 weeks ago. I realize it's a beta product, but it would be nice to know why it isn't working.
