Maybe you did not hear the SIRI intro when 4S came out nor read the Apple website, but SIRI is a BETA product, and this is normal for a BETA product. If this was a paid app then I can see a big fuss, but not for a FREE BETA Product.

Im sick of SIRI, I think she is honestly full of BS! She hasnt worked for 3 days, I live in AZ, and still no luck this morning. Tried all the usual tips and nothing! Ive even had 2 emergencies where I need to know information quickly, EG, my closest animal hospital, and what was the response, I cant connect to the netwrod right now! and while on the road my son got sick and needed and urgernt care, guess what, Imunable to do anything right now , please try again later. SERIOUSLY! Totally upset and dissaspointed as this is why I bought the damm phone!

I had not been able to use Siri for almost two days and had thought it was a server issue. However, today I noticed that a colleague of mine's Siri was working. So, as mentioned by others on this support community, I "reset all settings" which has now fixed the problem.. However, this now means I have to go back and redo my wifi synch with iTunes and it also clears out my lockscreen wallpaper & password and few other minor items. I wouldn't want to have to do this all the time, but at least I know it's something to try the next time I get the "I'm sorry, but I can't help you right now" speech from Siri. Hopefully, Apple is working on the problem!

I did the reset as described ( both ways - network and all) and it's not working for me. Judging from the varied responses and "fixes", the problem seems to be heterogeneous and one 'fix' dosent appear to work for all. This is extremely frustrating, since I've become 'addicted" to sending text messages and email responses by voice -- very nice when it works -- really maddening when it does not.

Apple has been telling people it's the server, but the reset works so I don't get that.

I am stopping by an Apple Store later today for something else and will ask someone at the "Genius Bar" about this, but my experience is that they never know what's going on in Cupertino, and this problem is all about Cupertino. I am ready for: "Wow, you are the FIRST PERSON to mention this!!"

Please do keep us informed on this one. It must be something about the apps we have onboard clashing with Siri, but I'm sure the "geniuses" are anything but when it comes to knowing how to fix this. I know an Apple employee, so will mention this and then hope it will get passed along to the appropriate engineers. No guarantees, but worth a shot.

Before I got to the supervisor, the original guy I talked to claimed that they just were having problems connecting to the server with no helpful suggestions. When I escalated to the supervisor (not the easiest thing in the world to accomplish, by the way) it became obvious that the word had not been put out to the rank and file about what to do, or for that matter, that they should even try. My guess is that over the next hours and days the process of resetting will become SOP.

Apple will find a way to offload this problem on the customer, then wade through the bureaucracy and eventually do the "right thing".

Meanwhile, they have OVERSOLD the functionality of Siri and iCloud. The use of ONE microscopic mention of "beta" in all of their marketing hype should not protect them from refunding purchases to people who were roped into this.

Mine is working, but doing a full reset every time this thing burps is not in my game plan.

Also, after the reset I found that my contacts were completely messed up.
