Is there any way to add markers to a GarageBand project while recording it? If there is not, is there a way to ask Apple to add that feature? On another note is there another Apple product that has that feature (such as Logic Express or Logic Studio)?

show the podcast track and press "p" to add markers
I realized from your reply that I had to actually use a podcast recording rathar than just a voice recording when I create it which I hadn't been doing. It works splendidly

it actually doesn't matter what type of project you create, as long as you "show" the podcast track
