How do I get DVD's onto the ipad
I have bought some DVD's which I would like to transfer to the ipad so I can watch them while travelling. How do I do that?

I am ordering DVDs that I believe are copyrighted in Australia and will want to view them on my iPad. I don't have a Mac, just a PC, so apparently that Handbrake software won't work for me. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me how to copy them into iTunes.
you cant unless you buy movies from iTunes that's the only way to put movies on them

Why not? Handbrake works on Windows too. The problem is Handbrake can not rip DVD (encryption protection). It does format conversion. I'm not interested in discussing legal matters but if I spend money on a DVD, I should be allowed to watch it however I want to. Google DVD ripper. Pick one that works for you.
Thank you very much, ShagCA!
