iPhone 4S screen freezes after calls

My iPhone 4S has been giving me problems this past week after I make a call I won't be able to hang up or tap anything on the screen with a response I can tap the end call button and nothing with happen unless I press the lock button twice to hang up the call than again to lock the screen than slide to unlock than my iPhone will work fine. This is quite irritating! Is there any fix to this?

I tried this and IT WORKS perfectly. If your using a different sim card/carrier to that when you first activated the phone try this. I infact left my sim card in the phone then factory reset phone so all the details of the carrier/card were actiaved and set with it.

Thanks for your help !

My iPhone 4S interface also freezes after a phone call. I've spoken to my carrier, they claim its not ATT. That its a problem with the iPhone. Obviously many of you are having the same problem. My interface started to freeze after a call when the iPhone 5 came out. And it's been doing it regularly since then. I'm very hesitant to upgrade to 5 because I may get the same problem. My iPhone rarely leaves the house. I've never dropped it. Some days the phone works fine, then somedays I can't use it at all, after my first incoming or outgoing call. It's extremely frustrating to tell people my iphone isn't working. Please fix this issue. Many of us are having the same problem. I see no replays to the posts!

I had the same problem with my daughter's phone, so I took it in to an Apple Store and told them about this support thread. They gave me a replacement phone on the spot, and she hasn't had the trouble since (that was over a year ago). I recommend printing this out and bringing it with you (assuming you have an Apple Store near you).

Good luck!

FIX: Take the after market cover off the phone. This will fix the problem.

Since the iPhone 5 came on the market, my iPhone 4S would stop responding after a call or during a call.

It only started happening after the iPhone 5 release. It has to be due to the screen size difference. The cover touches the glass. So you have to remove the cover, and the phone will work. I froze today, took the cover off, and was able to continue the call. Finally figured it out!
