How to install a Bose Soundlink?

Dear all,

My problem is, that my MacBook Air is not able to find the Bose Soundlink (USB connection). The Bose Sound System shows always that a "Computer" has been found, but the transport from my music on the MacBook to the Bose Sound System does not work. Therefore, I would assume the problem is based by my MacBook.

Hope that somebody has some good ideas to solve the problem.

Thanks in advance!

When I go into System Preferences, then Sound setting, the Bose Soundlink is not showing up. When I click on my Bluetooth icon and search devices, I can see the Soundlink, but my mac keeps telling me it can't find it. I also don't have a remote control to press Number 5 as another suggested.

Other suggestions?

Thanks.

I found a whole new solution for Bose Soundlink! After i had tried everything else & all suggestions.

Open Audio Midi setup, you should see the Bluetooth Soundlink. Although i tried to set it up for "use this device for sound output" it would not catch. Then i clicked the Built-in-output for the output device, it worked briefly. I then went back and told the Soundlink to be used as the out put, and it worked!

Please pass this solution on to other sites as i do not belong to any others. Thanks.

Okay I got it!!!

Here's the deal man, you need to push the Bluetooth button for about 3 - 4 seconds... then the light will blink fading in and out slowly... this means that it is in listening mode, I followed the instructions above and I was stuck in the same place... the thing was blinking because I pushed it once but didn't HOLD it... so the soundlink was looking for devices as opposed to listening for new ones... so anyway follow the steps again but this time make your soundlink listen and this will make it show up on your list of output devices on your mac air - hope this helps man!
