CMYK output

I LOVE Pages! I was able to throw together four high quality pages with fine graphics and style in little time at my customers site. They were impressed.

Just my luck, once I posted the PDF files on my .Mac HomePage for the printing company to download for publishing, they reported to me that the PDF's were RGB and not CMYK which they needed.
I have tried everything I can find to export or convert a CMYK PDF from pages. I have also tried converting with Acrobat and Photoshop but they distort the text.

Without CMYK ability, this program is a waste of my time and money.
Can anyone tell me how to salvage this?

Many points to the one that gets this one.
Thanks Much everyone.

While I don't doubt that it is possible to create CMYK in Pages 2, I would point out that merely including CMYK sliders does not equate to being able to make a CMYK file. For instance, Photoshop Elements 1 offered Cyan and Magenta corrections in its color variations dialog, and my Canon i9100 allows me to do CMYK corrections in the color adjustment window of the driver, but neither is CMYK aware in the sense you mean. I could not create a CMYK file in PE1 (or any version of PE, come to that), and my printer would give me horrific results if I threw a CMYK file at it.

Try this:
A. Print as PDF-PostScript
B. Open .PS file with Acrobat/Acrobat Distiller
C. Save in Distiller.

At the end of this procedure, Distiller sometimes takes a while, you get a very neat file which retains Pages formatting and is ready for CMYK colour separation. And, as an additional bonus it is very small, usually between 100-500 Kb for a 4-page graphics-loaded brochure. So, it is good for quick e-mailing/uploading as well.

It worked for me.

Also, in this forum find and save a very useful article by a gentleman from Chattanooga, Texas: 'Pages and Professional Printers'

Good luck,
