Can I use a wireless air card on the new MacBook Pro? It was compatible with my old MacBook Pro ... so why not the new one?

I had been using a MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.5.8) and while traveling, was using a Sierra Wireless AirCard 880U (Bigpond). I have now purchased a MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.7.2) and my AirCard can not be recognised. When contacting Apple, they advise that it is AirCard issue and when I contact Bigpond, it is Apple issue.

If this AirCard does not work on this specific MacBook Pro, is there an wireless AirCard that I can get my hands on that will work?

Help would be appreciated. Thanks

I understand the Bigpond has drivers for 10.5 OS so how can they say it is Apple's problem?

USB modem need drivers because USB does not normally work with network so the driver is need to handle the network traffic. It is the responsibility of the vendor to write the drive. So this is a Bigpond problem and not an Apple problem.
